Wellesley College historian Lidwien Kapteijns spoke with New Books in Human Rights about her recent book, Clan Cleansing in Somalia: The Ruinous Legacy of 1991.
The book examines the bloodshed that followed the fall of Somali dictator Mohamed Siad Barre. According to the New Books in Human Rights podcast page, "Kapteijns offers a complex and multilayered history of
