On Thursday, January 2, Vassar College history professor Quincy Mills will discuss his new book, Cutting Along the Color Line: Black Barbers and Barber Shops in America, in interviews on public radio and national television. Cutting Along the Color Line reveals how black barbers have been a touchstone from slavery through today for important developments in African-American history. At 9:00 am Eastern Standard Time, he will be interviewed for eight minutes on the nationally syndicated cable news program "NewsOne with Roland Martin." From 1:00-2:00 pm Mills will be the focus of "The Kojo Nnamdi Show", broadcast by 88.5 WAMU-FM public radio in Washington, DC. Both programs are available live and archived online.
