Winter Meeting Wonderlands

The Penn Campus is relatively quiet now that classes are over, but winter break doesn't mean that things cool down at Penn Press. Some of the biggest humanities and social science conferences take place at this time of year. So we are still checking lists that have nothing to do with who has been naughty or nice. From January 5 through January 8, while undergrads and Santa's elves are unwinding, Penn Press staff will be in exhibit halls and conference rooms across the country sharing information about scholarly books and journals.

If you're going to Seattle for the Modern Language Association's annual convention, look for Penn Press publications in literature, language, and culture at booth 323. At the same time, Penn Press staff and an array of history books will be at the annual meeting of the American Historical Association in Chicago at booth 512. Meanwhile, in another part of the Windy City, Penn Press business and economics titles will be on display at the Allied Social Science Associations meeting. Closer to home, the joint meeting of the Archaeological Institute of America and the American Philological Association will be here in Philadelphia. Look for our archaeology, anthropology, and classical books at booth 207.

MLA, AHA, ASSA, and AIA/APA meeting attendees will be among the first to get a close look at our forthcoming spring 2012 books. We hope to see you at one of the winter meeting wonderlands next year. Until then, have a joyful holiday season.
