We at Penn Press were shocked and saddened by the news of the death of Thomas Sizgorich, author of Violence and Belief in Late Antiquity: Militant Devotion in Christianity and Islam, Sizgorich passed away on January 27. He was Associate Professor of History at UC Irvine. Sizgorich received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2005.
