Robert Darnton Makes the Case for Three Books on C-SPAN

C-Span’s Book TV recently presented video of Robert Darnton, Director of the Harvard University Library and eminent historian of the book, giving a talk at Harvard Book Store in Cambridge, MA. In the talk, which took place in early February, Darnton discussed The Case for
Books: Past, Present, and Future
. He also shared information on his latest book,
The Devil in
the Holy Water, or the Art of Slander from Louis XIV to Napoleon
and the newly released translation of the eighteenth-century French libertine novel, The Bohemians.
