Katherine McGuire has joined Penn Press as Rights Administrator and Assistant to the Director. Kate comes to the Press from a job at Penn’s Graduate School of Education. Before her employment at Penn, she was at Oxford University Press in New York for two years, doing marketing for their trade, scholarly, and online reference. "I’m delighted to be here and already enjoying working on rights business for the press," says Kate. The rest of the Penn Press staff are delighted that she is here, too.
Kate notes that she has more in common with some of us at the Press than a passion for books. "Much like [Acquisitions Assistant] Caroline Winschel, I’m a Smith alumna and chorister, but I’d never met her before I started here!" Can we look forward to duets in the halls? Maybe not, but we do look forward to working with Kate McGuire.
