Penn Press is pleased to announce Hussein Fancy, Associate Professor of History at Yale University, and Julie Orlemanski, Associate Professor of English at the University of Chicago, as the new co-editors for The Middle Ages series.
“We are honored to join the series, which has been the home to so many brilliant and enduring books,” say Fancy and Orlemanski, “and we are especially excited to collaborate with one another in helping to foster excellent work that will take medieval studies in new directions.”
Acquisitions Editor Jenny Tan, who acquires for the series, adds, “I’m delighted to welcome Hussein and Julie onboard as series editors. They both bring tremendous scholarly and editorial acumen to the role, and I’m excited about their vision for The Middle Ages series.”
We also wish to extend our thanks to outgoing series editor Roland Betancourt for his service. Tan remarks, “I’m immensely to grateful to Roland for his stewardship of the series during a crucial moment of transition.
