Forthcoming in September, the Press will be publishing Maurizio Albahari's Crimes of Peace: Mediterranean Migrations at the World's Deadliest Border. The book will detail why the Mediterranean Sea is such a lethal barrier for those people trying to enter Europe from Africa and the Middle East. This claim has been tragically proved again recently, when hundreds of migrants died after their boat capsized near the Italian island of Lampedusa. Albahari has been chronicling the terrible dangers of migration across the Mediterranean for years, and this latest tragedy is just one in a long history of similar disasters.

Since before the Lampedusa wreck, Albahari has been making media appearances speaking about the crisis and what needs to be done. Here is a round-up of some of those appearances.
