Lincoln Mitchell Questions the Palin Effect on HuffPost

"The last few weeks have shaken up the political race, but perhaps not as much as we might think." says Lincoln A. Mitchell in his latest blog entry on The Huffington Post. Mitchell, author of the forthcoming Uncertain Democracy: U.S. Foreign Policy and Georgia's Rose Revolution, is a frequent contributor to the online political publication. He goes on to say that "This week, most of the polls show the race essentially deadlocked, but
with some polls showing McCain ahead and a few still showing Obama
ahead. In most cases the polls are still within the margin of error.
[Sarah] Palin's presence has moved the numbers, but not all that much, and
perhaps not for all that long."
