It is with great sadness that Penn Press shares the news of the recent passing of historian Simon Barton, author of Conquerors, Brides, and Concubines: Interfaith Relations and Social Power in Medieval Iberia. Professor of History at the University of Central Florida, Barton passed away last month at the age of 55. A remembrance has been posted by Peter Konieczny at the Medieval Warfare blog.
