In Memoriam: Mary Maples Dunn

It is with great sadness that we share the news that historian and scholar Mary Maples Dunn has passed away. Dunn was the co-editor of the Penn Press books The Papers of William Penn, volumes 1-4 and The World of William Penn. Throughout her long and impactful career, Dunn also served as Dean of Bryn Mawr College, President of Smith College, and Co-Executive Officer of the American Philosophical Society, as well as helping to lead and oversee Radcliffe College's transition into the Radcliffe Institute. Penn Press Senior Editor Robert Lockhart has called her "a champion of Penn Press, of Philadelphia’s cultural institutions, and of early Pennsylvania history." She will be missed.
