Heather Murray Receives Levine Award from OAH

On March 20, the Organization of American Historians presented Heather Murray with the 2011 Lawrence W. Levine Award for best book in cultural history. Murray earned the award for Not in This Family: Gays and the Meaning of Kinship in Postwar North America, an exploration of the relationships between gay children and their parents from the late 1940s to the 1990s. Murray is Assistant Professor in the Department of History at the University of Ottawa.

We at Penn Press are pleased that Murray's work continues to receive positive attention.
