We've just learned via twitter.com/PennPress that Caroline Walker Bynum has received the Otto Gründler Book Prize for Wonderful Blood: Theology and Practice in Late Medieval Northern Germany and Beyond. The award was announced this morning at the 44th International Congress on Medieval Studies in Kalamazoo, MI. The Medieval Institute awards the Gründler Prize to the author of a book or monograph in any area of medieval studies
that is judged by the selection committee to be an outstanding
contribution to its field.
Congratulations Professor Bynum, on another award for Wonderful Blood.
