Bloom on Private Sector Methods in Public Housing

In today's Gotham Gazette, Nicholas Dagen Bloom places calls for private sector methods and non-government revenue in public housing within the context of the New York City Housing Authority's overall legacy of success.

"Tenants, employees and many housing advocates have expressed legitimate
concerns about outsourcing work to private companies and rent
increases, but taken as a whole this "new" direction looks a lot like
the original vision of public housing." says Bloom, author of Public Housing That Worked: New York in the Twentieth Century.
