A New Penn Press Podcast–The Anatomy Murders: The Myths and Realities of the Burke and Hare Case

We're kicking off the second season of Penn Press podcasts with Lisa Rosner, author of The Anatomy Murders: Being the True and Spectacular History of Edinburgh's Notorious Burke and Hare and of the Man of Science Who Abetted Them in the Commission of Their Most Heinous Crimes. In this podcast interview, historian Rosner dispels many of the myths surrounding the famous nineteeth-century serial killers and anatomical research gone wrong. She describes burking and talks about the lives of some of Burke and Hare's 16 victims, including Mary Paterson.
