The University of Pennsylvania Press journals program will welcome two new titles in 2027, the International Bulletin of Mission Research and New Labor Forum. Read on for more information about these new journals as well as other exciting updates!
New to Penn Press in 2027
- The International Bulletin of Mission Research (ISSN: 2396-9393, eISSN: 2396-9407): With in-depth analyses of worldwide Christianity and mission-focused book reviews, the IBMR is an unparalleled source of information on the world church in mission. IBMR provides an editorial voice that is dispassionate, analytical, fair minded, and nonpartisan. The journal is published by the Overseas Ministry Study Center at the Princeton Theological Seminary. In 2027, the journal will move from a quarterly schedule to triannual.
- New Labor Forum (ISSN: 1095-7960, eISSN: 1557-2978) is a national labor journal from the Murphy Institute, at the CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies. Founded in 1997, the journal provides a place for labor and its allies to consider vital research, debate strategy, and test new ideas. Triannual.
2027 prices now available
Penn Press journals’ 2027 pricing is now available. Our journal prices continue to be among the most affordable in the scholarly publishing community. View pricing information on our website: https://www.pennpress.org/order/#journalrates.
Changes to the Journal for Early Modern Cultural Studies
- The journal’s publication frequency is changing from quarterly to tri-annual.
- The journal will now be available in an online-only format.
- To bring the journal back to its intended publication schedule, we are implementing a one-time adjustment to our volume numbering. We will omit the 2025 volume year and resume publication with the 2026 volume to align future volumes with their intended publication year. These adjustments do not affect customers’ subscription entitlement. Subscribers will continue to receive all published issues.
Penn Press’ Open Access efforts continue
The Penn Press journals program includes six diamond Open Access journals; five additional journals participate in the Project MUSE Subscribe to Open Program. Thank you to the libraries, funders, and other institutions that directly support our OA content as well as subscribing institutions that help maintain our traditional subscription program.
Penn Press is proud to participate in the following initiatives on behalf of select titles:
- The Open Journals Collective, a collective of libraries and university-based publishers committed to Open Access. Please consider supporting this initiative.
